The Alma Street Fair this year is on Sunday June 16th, from 12 noon to 7 pm. It promises to be the usual exciting day, with 3 music stages (main “Crimea” stage, MAP cafe and an acoustic stage), lots of stalls, dance performance, great raffle prizes … and more.
We’re also having a parade again, following last year’s hugely popular parade. This year the theme is SAVE THE PLANET. The parade organisers will be making gigantic jelly fish, birds threatened with extinction and so on, as well as raising awareness of the need for recycling by using recycling materials to make the puppets. They’ll be involving people of all ages to parade round the area of the fair, and anyone can join in!
There is still time to rent a stall, at a preferential rate of only £12.50 if you live in the Inkerman Area. Stalls can be reserved online through the event organisation website Eventbrite – go to almastreet2019.eventbrite.co.uk
Our Eventbrite page contains further information about the Fair and about the stall reservation requirements.
Or – send an enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back to you
Or – contact the stall organiser David Prince directly by phone or text on 07795 491158
We’re also looking for lots of people to help on the day – Maybe a couple of hours in the morning setting up stages and marquees and/or a couple of hours in the early evening packing things away. Or sell raffle tickets on the day. Or be a Volunteer Steward – Could you put on a badge and a high vis vest for some of the day and help keep the crowd happy and well informed? We will have a couple of professional stewards to brief volunteers, and then just want you to mix with the crowd, offer directions, keep an eye out for lost children and generally help: email@example.com
