1. Firstly, here is the Notice of the Annual General Meeting 2021: Wednesday 19 January 2022
We are hoping to have the meeting upstairs at The Grafton pub from 7 – 8 pm on 19 January. We will limit numbers to 30 people, so if you would like to join us, please let us know. We hope that following the meeting we may be able to socialise in the downstairs bar, so you are welcome to come along whether or not you have joined the meeting.
If – as seems increasingly likely – Covid means that it would be unsafe (or not allowed) to meet in person, we will send out a zoom invitation by email the week before the meeting.
The first part of the meeting will be a formal AGM, with reports from the Chair, Treasurer and some of the subgroups. You can hear more about what’s happening in the neighbourhood, what the police are dealing with, what the Elders group is up to, issues around greening the area and more.
There will be an election of officers – Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. If there is anyone you would like to nominate to any of these positions (yourself, or another person with their permission) let us know in advance of the meeting. (The current officers are also willing to stand again). If you want to know more about what’s involved, get in touch.
2. Holmes Road Healthy School Street
This has come in from Camden Council – watch this space for more news:
“As you know, we were planning to consult on the above in January next year. We are now in a position to bring this forward to this month – we propose a 4-week consultation period to allow for the Christmas period. The consultation is going live today (Saturday). It will run through until the 17th January. Leaflets will be delivered to addresses within the local area and there will also be posters up on lamp posts directing people to the online survey. The link for the consultation webpage is www.camden.gov.uk/holmesroad

– though please note this won’t be accessible until the survey opens.
3. Segro – Reeeesult! 🎉
The Segro (last mile distribution depot) application has been refused.
They may well appeal – which is why having all those heartfelt, detailed and intelligent objections filed is so important as the inspector will look at those.
Well done everyone!
If you have not been following this saga, please see the website:
see below for the IARA demo – It was still legal although it may not be under threatened legislation.
And finally – we wish everyone a happy festive season, and a peaceful and healthy new year
