Planning application for the Camden Film Quarter

As you know, we have launched a questionnaire to gather views on this controversial application.  We need to have your responses in time for us to prepare IARA’s considered comments to the Camden Planning application.  We will do this both on the planning portal, and by email and it will take us a bit of time to analyse the answers.  If you haven’t already filled in the questionnaire, please can you do so by the end of next week – Saturday 22 February.  Here is the link

It would also be good for as many people as possible to post their own comments on the Camden portal.  The closing date has changed frequently, sometimes in response to new posts from the developer.  Even if you have already sent in a comment you are free to post a further one in response to the new information.  Go to Camden planning application search and put in 2025/4861/P .  The current closing date is 6 March (although emails to planning@camden.gov.uk will be accepted beyond this date).

There’s a lot more information about this issue, and much, much more, on IARA’s website https://www.inkermanresidents.org.uk/

Holmes Road Safe/Healthy Streets “trial” is taking final feedback.

In case you missed it, Gary recently posted this on the WhatsApp group.

With all the focus on Regis Road, it’s worth mentioning that the Holmes Road Safe/Healthy Streets “trial” is taking final feedback before the next step. Should you wish to comment (so far there have only been 53) in any way on this scheme, here is the link:

But no deadline?

Police matters

See John’s report attached.  This includes a few warnings – theft from cars and from doorsteps – as well as an update on recent antisocial behaviour.

Kentish Town Road partial closure – pressure on Prince of Wales Road

Our local councillor, Meric Apak, has forwarded this from Camden:

“We have been in communication with Cadent Gas this morning , they have discovered high gas readings on Kentish Town Road   between Bartholomew Road ( near the church on the corner ) and Royal College Street .

It is likely that we may have to close this section and divert traffic along Prince of Wales Road , traffic heading towards Kentish Town Tube station should not be effected .

We have stated that we do not want works to commence before 1900 hours tonight , and have requested round the clock working.

All emergency services have been informed and we will be in contact with Cadent Gas for updates  over the weekend

Further discussions will take place  with Cadent Gas  to see if we can renew this gas main due to the high levels of leaks on Kentish Town Road this year and in previous years.

We will update on these works over the weekend”
