August Bulletin

Dear Members

Not a great deal happening in August, but just a few bits and pieces –

  1. IARA General meeting Monday evening 21st September

A reminder that Keir Starmer will be joining us at 7 pm on this date. Venue negotiations are in hand and we’ll let you know once we’ve confirmed. Tim Grey from Camden’s Environment Department will also have a slot on the agenda, plus a few other items.

  2. Consultation on Draft North London Waste Plan
Camden is one of a group of North London Boroughs who now have a draft waste plan ready for consultation. Comments are invited on the consultation documents over a nine week period from Thursday 30th July to Wednesday 30th September 2015.

During the consultation period, the Draft Plan and supporting materials will be available at:http://www.nlwp.net There will also be a series of workshops and drop-in sessions. The workshop sessions will be held from 1pm to 5pm. They are asking interested parties to register for these workshop sessions to ensure that there are enough facilitators to help run them. Attendees will be notified of the venue details following registration. To register to attend these workshop events, please contact the planning team atevents@nlwp.net or by phoning 02079745916. The drop-in sessions will be held from 6pm to 8pm and one has been planned for Islington and Camden on 2nd September 2015 and will be held at Camden Centre, Bidborough Street, King’s Cross, WC1H 9JE. Just turn up – no registration is required for these drop in sessions.

  3. Anyone need childcare or some cleaning?

A relative of Helen Hodgson is looking for some cleaning and/or childcare work in the neighbourhood. Helen says: She’s a really nice person, trustworthy and conscientious, and very keen. If anyone’s interested they can get in touch with me by email. helen.hodgson@theguardian.com

  4. Anyone lost a young tabby cat?

around 4 to 5 months old? Someone in Castle Road is looking after one that seems to have strayed       from home. Apparently at that age they can get lost quite easily. He’s not chipped. If he’s yours, do email us and we’ll put you in touch with the finder.

	Best wishes
