- Inkerman Gardens Saved. Dilip sent this report back about Inkerman Gardens from the walk around yesterday (25 October) with the Camden Film Quarter team at Regis Road. The key move is the moving back of the Holmes Road depot building line. This will effectively mean that Inkerman Gardens will be preserved as a huge raised island bed allowing access from all sides. In addition some more plantings will be inserted along the new building edge also.
The main intention of the walk is as to start a conversation about the Geeen Corridor proposal that I have been very much involved with. A heads up folks – the next Camden led consultation about the CFQ starts in about a month and for six weeks.

“Yoo Capital is leading the proposals for the Camden Film Quarter – a Masterplan which proposes a new neighbourhood in the Regis Road area of Kentish Town.
The Masterplan will be anchored by new film studios and will include work space for the screen and creative industries alongside educational facilities linked to the film and creative industries, and new facilities for the local community. There will also be new homes, with a target of 50% affordable homes across the site and a commitment to delivering 50% affordable homes on Yoo Capital controlled land.
We are sharing the final version of the Camden Film Quarter Masterplan Vision for your feedback. The Masterplan will guide how future planning applications and development come forward across different land ownerships.”

2. Inkerman Gardens tidy up day on Saturday 19 October under Dilip’s direction – a horrible amount of rubbish was removed, overgrowth was trimmed and, following what Dilip told us is modern good practice, was left to rot down / create habitats at the back of the garden.
there will be another tidy up day in the spring and participants would be welcome and would enjoy themselves.
