We thought it would be good to let people know about the achievements of some of our members. These are just from Alma Street, so please let us know if there are more of you out there whose achievements we should be celebrating.
On Saturday the Honours List included Alam St resident, Liz Woodeson who got a CBE.
She is the director of health and wellbeing at the Dpt of Health in a key role for several strategies, with responsibility for health and obesity, drugs policy and the controversial tobacco display ban.
She has previoulsy been director of health protection, with responsibilities including hospital infections, genetics research and representing the UK on the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control’s management board, since 2006. She was previously head of scientific development and bioethics.

Darren Coleman, who after 2 years learning the streets in all weathers has got his black cab licence and is now the proud driver of the (blue!) cab parked in Alma Street.
