In January Claire Inkerman asked: Where is the best Chinese food takeaway delivery in the area?
Replies:
Jinli. Catriona Grafton: Jinli on Camden High Street is really nice. https://jinli.co.uk/en/
+1 203-685-6693 14 Camden High St Silwia: Jinli is great too and there’s now The Three Uncles (Cantonese noodles and rice, their Brixton location has been a hit for a long time)
Lexi: The China. http://www.thechinarestaurant.co.uk/ 243 Kentish Town Road, London NW5 2JT 07305 995 716 Silwia: the China has been approved by my friends who are Chinese and Chinese-American 💙 I’m a regular too and root for the couple who are running it.
Gary Willes: The China on KT road is more than excellent: a real undiscovered gem. We use them for takeaway but it’s even better if you eat in (not exactly atmospheric but fabulous food). Furthermore, my partner has just been diagnosed coeliac and was most distressed that she would not be able to go any more. I went in and chatted to them and they specially made crispy chilli beef with cornflour instead of wheat flour, fried the crispy duck in fresh oil and let us bring in our own gluten free pancakes. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Charlie. The China is excellent. Silwia Raglan: They also have a great vegetarian (and okay vegan) selection
Pangs: Harriet Alma: Personally I’m die hard Pangs. Catriona Grafton. A local institution to be sure. It’s the chippy side for me though ❤️
Feng Shan Lexi Alma: I like the floating boat on the canal in Regent’s Park [Feng Shan https://www.fengshang.co.uk/] and Singapore gardens. Neither close by. Neither cheap. Both excellent.
Eloise: Oooh I second Singapore Garden but definitely not cheap 👌
Iain. Lucky Cap Belsize Park 12 Dartmouth Park Hill, London NW5 1HL 020 7689 8899
Eloise: Shanghai Express. https://www.shanghaiexpresschinesetakeawaycamdentown.co.uk/
Gary Willes: A dark kitchen. Not a real restaurant
